Maison Alinne
In Sumaré, in the upper part of Rua Apinajés, a single tower set on a 2,800 m² plot — a rare margin in this part of the city, and the reason the building has two pools, a sports court and twenty covered visitor parking spaces.

History
Maison Alinne is a product of the verticalisation cycle that Sumaré went through in the late 2000s, when the heart of the neighbourhood between Perdizes and Vila Madalena traded rows of houses for large-floor-area towers. The 2,800 m² plot on which the building now stands appears occupied by almost a dozen low-rise structures in the aerial-photogrammetric base predating the construction: the building was born of a land assembly, and that is what explains the open space it has. The condominium’s constitution was registered in August 2009, a date that market databases repeat as the delivery year. The authorship of the design and the company responsible for the development do not appear in any verifiable public source and, for that reason, are not attributed here.
- Concept: Jardins-scale floor area on a neighbourhood-scale plot — 2,800 m² of land for a single tower, and what is left over becomes real leisure space, not a setback strip.
- Curiosities: the name is spelled with two n’s in the condominium’s registration with the Receita Federal — Maison Alinne —, though it also circulates on the market as Maison Aline. And the collection of feminine names with the “Maison” prefix that populates Jardins has no relation to this address: the building is in Sumaré and there is no source linking it to that lineage.
Architecture and aesthetics
A single tower on a generous plot, set back on its faces and standing free on the land — the layout is the building’s argument. The height and the distance from its neighbours produce the feature the address’s advertisements have repeated for years: an open 360° view over São Paulo, with no obstruction in the immediate surroundings. In the larger floor plans, the living area ends in a glass-enclosed gourmet balcony integrated with the kitchen — the solution the 2009 vintage consolidated and that here was designed for the view, not for the setback. The authorship of the architectural design is not publicly documented and, for that reason, is not attributed here.

Sumaré: the address
Sumaré is the quiet fold between Perdizes and Vila Madalena: a tree-lined street, school and bakery within walking distance, and the structural advantage of sitting between two stations on the Green Line — Estação Vila Madalena on one side, Sumaré on the other — without inheriting either one’s night-time bustle. Rua Apinajés runs along the top of this stretch, far from the avenues that cut through the neighbourhood, and number 1818 sits right near its end, where the street loses its shops and becomes purely residential. Around it, Parque da Água Branca and Praça Pôr do Sol serve as a backyard, and the route out to the Marginal, to Avenida Paulista or to Faria Lima is resolved by different roads — a rarity in São Paulo, and exactly what gives this address its flexibility.
