Lindenberg Tutóia

History

By Construtora Adolpho Lindenbergi, the Lindenberg Tutóia follows the house’s tradition of naming the building after the street — the same lineage as Lindenberg Melo Alvesi, in Jardim Américai, and Lindenberg Tucumãi, in Jardim Europai. The construction was already being tracked on the developer’s website in 2005 and was handed over in June 2008. In its launch material, Lindenberg sold the address on two arguments: the position of Rua Tutóia between Paraísoi and Ibirapuera, surrounded by the city’s main outbound avenues, and the view — “from here you have the best view in the city over Parque do Ibirapuera,” the developer itself wrote.

Architecture and aesthetics

A single tower of spacious floor plans, with a private entrance per unit and an L-shaped glazed balcony running alongside the living room — the design the developer repeated across addresses of the same vintage, with a master suite with dressing room and a multi-room living area. The architectural project’s authorship is not publicly documented and, for that reason, is not attributed here.

Paraíso: the address

Two names for the same address

The lot sits on the border between Paraíso and Vila Mariana, and both names are legitimate. The postcode registers Vila Mariana; the high-end market treats the address as Paraíso. This page adopts the name in common use and keeps the other for anyone searching by it.

Paraísoi is the fold where Avenida Paulistai stops being an office avenue and becomes a residential neighbourhood. Rua Tutóia runs down from there towards Parque Ibirapuerai through a narrow residential fabric, sheltered from heavy traffic and yet right next to it: Avenida Brigadeiro Luís Antônioi, 23 de Maio, Avenida Nove de Julhoi and República do Líbano are all a few minutes away, and it is this combination — a quiet street with four fast exits — that has sustained the area’s prices for decades. The shops, the reference hospitals and the schools of the Paulista–Vila Mariana axis are within walking distance, and the park is a short run away.
