History
From Porte Engenharia e Urbanismo, the same developer behind Amadeo Modigliani, with architecture by J.J. Abrão, Figueira Altos do Tatuapé is a high-end tower in the East Zone, more than 168 metres tall with 52 floors. It is one of the vertical landmarks anchoring the Tatuapé market.
- Concept: Tatuapé’s vertical high end, with a very tall tower and spacious floor plans.
- Curiosities: the wood decking has FSC certification and Ibama traceability, and the balcony has a reversible pool.
Architecture and aesthetics
A single, strictly vertical tower: fifty-two floors and 168.2 metres in height over two basement levels, in a concrete structure. Height is the design approach, and it came through a building-rights grant — the registry zoning parameter for the block is a 28-metre height limit, so the tower is an authorised exception, not the block’s rule. With no width to spread into, J.J. Abrão‘s design stacks the programme and returns vertically the floor area the plot would not allow horizontally, from 337 to 593 m². The second gesture is in the balcony, which here is not a mere ledge: it takes a barbecue and a reversible pool and enters the design as a usable room, not as a façade setback. The technical layer comes before the finishes — central vacuum system, acoustic treatment of slabs and piping, and a drivers’ area in the common spaces. The interior design and landscaping projects are not publicly documented and, for that reason, are not attributed here.
Aesthetics and scarcity
- Aesthetics: contemporary, tall-tower.

Tatuapé: the address
Rua Itapeti is where Tatuapé kept its largest-floor-area product — the stretch the market named Altos do Tatuapé and which the Post Office register lists as Vila Gomes Cardim. It is a residential street of short blocks, with early-years schools on the same block and a street market a few crossings away, and it is here that the high-end verticalisation the rest of the neighbourhood does not gather at the same density is concentrated. From number 141, Parque CERET and Shopping Metrô Tatuapé are about a kilometre away and Estação Itapura a little over half that. The logic that explains the address is the same that explains the neighbourhood: here you are not buying proximity to an office hub, you are buying the chance to move up a standard without changing region — and Tatuapé is the East Zone address where that arithmetic works out.
