History

From Fraiha, with architecture by Pablo Slemenson, the Arthé Moema is a corner building on Avenida Juriti, designed to deliver two things Moema values above all else: a view of Parque Ibirapuera and absolute privacy for each apartment (one per floor, occupying the entire storey).

  • Concept: total privacy as the premise, with the view of Ibirapuera within reach of the window.
  • Trivia: the corner position, on a full floor, gives each apartment a bow-like view over the park’s greenery.

Architecture and aesthetics

Pablo Slemenson resolved the building through its layout: a single tower on a fifty-metre frontage, set on the corner, with a single apartment per floor. The architectural consequence is direct — each residence occupies the entire slab and receives frontage on more than one side, which gives the 364 m² floor plan openings in different orientations and places the greenery of Parque Ibirapuera on the axis of the social rooms. The façade reads as high-end São Paulo architecture of the 2010s vintage: a continuous vertical volume, with no cut competing with the horizon. The interior design and landscaping projects are not publicly documented and are therefore not attributed here.

Aesthetics and scarcity

  • Aesthetics: high-end, from the 2010s vintage.

Moema: the address

Two names for the same address

The plot sits on the border between Moema and Vila Uberabinha, and both names are legitimate. The postcode registers Vila Uberabinha; the high-end market treats the address as Moema. This entry adopts the name in common use and keeps the other for anyone searching by it.

Avenida Juriti runs through the core of Moema dos Pássaros — the quadrant where the streets swapped people’s names for bird names — and number 246 falls on the stretch where it is a resident’s street and nothing more: the shops only begin one block ahead, on Avenida Ibirapuera, and the block keeps its wide pavement, closed tree canopy and a traditional school two hundred metres away. It is the half of Moema that borders Vila Nova Conceição, the quietest in the neighbourhood, and the one that is fully resolved on foot: Estação Moema on Line 5 – Lilac five minutes away, Shopping Ibirapuera just beyond and Parque Ibirapuera half a kilometre away — a distance that makes the park a late-afternoon routine rather than a Sunday outing. Those who live here cross Ibirapuera to shop and return to a street no one has a reason to cross.
