The design’s authorship and the name of the developer are not publicly documented and are therefore not attributed here. It is the typical silhouette of the discreet high-rise development of 1990s Jardim Paulista, when the remaining plots were already small and the programme had to go up. Jardim Paulista: the address

Jardim Paulistai is the neighbourhood where São Paulo learned to live well and never unlearned it, and Rua Paraguai is one of its scale secrets: a short street, one hundred and twenty metres long, between Rua Estados Unidos and Rua Presidente Prudente. The block at number 10 also opens onto Alameda Casa Brancai; across the street, the neighbouring block already borders Avenida Nove de Julhoi. It is an address with a quiet street and an access avenue one block away — the combination that Jardinsi offers in only a few spots and which, here, came from the subdivision’s design, not from luck. The street grid, the street-level shops and the tree cover have been established for decades, and there is no land left to run the numbers again.
