History
O Parque began as an urban-planning question before it became a real-estate product: what to do with a plot of almost four hectares wedged between Avenida Roque Petroni Júnior and Rua Jaceru, in the corporate heart of Brooklin. Gamaro‘s answer was to open up the block’s interior. The masterplan, developed by Deise Marques together with SP Urbanismo and CET, created a new street — private, but open to public use — and set aside the centre of the plot for a freely accessible wooded park, with a lake, a stream, shops and a restaurant, around which the towers were built. The architecture went to Triptyque, a Franco-Brazilian practice founded in 2000 by Carolina Bueno, Greg Bousquet, Guillaume Sibaud and Olivier Raffaelli, in partnership with Maison Edouard François; Itamar Berezin signed off on the project’s development. The landscaping is by Ricardo Cardim, a botanist with a master’s degree from USP and creator of the Pocket Forest technique, who replanted native Atlantic Forest species that had disappeared from the area. The interiors of the Pétala and Folhagem towers are by Carlos Rossi, with show flats by Cristina Barbara and Camila Klein, and the lighting design is by Studio Serradura.
- Concept: living inside a park open to the city — the opposite of the fortress condominium, in a neighbourhood that only knew how to build corporate towers.
- Curiosities: to make the crossing possible, the development opened a new street designed with SP Urbanismo and CET, with carriageway and pavement widths negotiated with the city. The 44-storey Pétala and Folhagem towers are among the tallest residential buildings in São Paulo’s south zone, with flats reaching around 149 metres in height. And the complex’s corporate tower, Orvalho, was sold to Brookfield, which operates it as commercial floor space for lease.
Architecture and aesthetics
Four independent towers around a green void — the layout is the design. Triptyque‘s façades work the practice’s naturalistic signature: cut-away volumes, balconies with planters built into the frame, and a design that returns vegetation to every floor, rather than concentrating it only at ground level. In the larger residential towers’ floor plans, the master suite has an “L”-shaped window frame that opens natural light onto two faces; the utility terrace is separate from the social balcony, and each unit is reached by a private lift. Ricardo Cardim‘s landscaping is not ornamental: it is the restoration of Atlantic Forest with native species, in a neighbourhood where the original forest had disappeared entirely.

Brooklin: the address
Two names for the same address
The Post Office registers this stretch as Jardim das Acácias — a registration name almost no one uses. The market, residents and anyone looking here say Brooklin. This entry adopts the name in use: it is the one people search for, advertise under and buy by.
Brooklin is the neighbourhood where São Paulo went to work. Avenida Roque Petroni Júnior links Avenida Santo Amaro to Marginal Pinheiros and organises the quadrant that holds MorumbiShopping, Market Place, Shopping Nações Unidas and the corporate spine of Berrini, Chucri Zaidan and Faria Lima — with the United States Consulate, the Brooklin metro station and Congonhas Airport within the same short radius. It is an address of impeccable logistics and, historically, little street life: almost all of the area’s residential stock was built after the offices, not before. It was exactly this gap that O Parque came to fill — giving greenery and pavement life back to a stretch of city that had only ever had a working-day pavement.
