André Paoliello
Landscape design in dialogue with the best architecture: tropical vegetation and exposed concrete, a recurring partner of Studio MK27.
Who he is
André Paoliello heads the firm André Paoliello Paisagistas Associados, in São Paulo (Vila Madalena), with a multidisciplinary team of landscape designers, architects, biologists and agronomists. His landscape design is born from dialogue with architecture and the environment, with a recurring signature in the contrast between exuberant tropical vegetation and exposed concrete, suspended gardens and the idea of bringing greenery inside the home. He is a frequent partner of Studio Marcio Kogan (MK27).
Concept
- Philosophy: landscape design integrated with architecture and the environment, low-maintenance without losing beauty.
- Typical vegetation: exuberant tropical vegetation in contrast with exposed concrete, suspended gardens and Suriname cherry trees.
Landmark gardens
- Vertical Itaim and Casa Fio, in partnership with Studio Marcio Kogan (MK27).
- Edifício Corujas (with FGMF Arquitetos) and projects with Andrade Morettin and Triptyque Architecture.
- Landscaping for Único, by Studio Arthur Casas, in Pinheiros — a building with sliding wooden mashrabiya screens, completed in 2017.
- Residential and corporate gardens in São Paulo and in several states.
