Jardim Everest
The neighbourhood almost nobody names and everybody has already driven through: a handful of short streets between Cidade Jardim, Jardim Guedala and Avenida Professor Francisco Morato, where the law only permits houses.
The neighbourhood’s story
Jardim Everest is small and discreet by design. It is a handful of streets — Diogo de Aros, Gália, Carlos Ferreira, Raulino de Oliveira, São Cassiano — wedged between Avenida Professor Francisco Morato, Avenida Lopes de Azevedo and the boundary of Cidade Jardim, on a stretch of sloping topography and mature tree cover. The zoning is ZER-1, an exclusively residential zone: no shops, no towers, no mixed use. What exists are plots of five hundred to two thousand square metres, low walls, garages set back and street trees with dense canopies.
That is why the neighbourhood rarely appears under its own name. The market usually sells it as Cidade Jardim, which is the neighbourhood across the avenue and the address of Jockey Club de São Paulo — and the substitution works because, in practice, whoever lives here shares the same geography: the same schools, the same clubs, the same hospitals, the same route to Avenida Brigadeiro Faria Lima and Shopping Cidade Jardim. The difference lies in the layout, which here is even quieter, and in the price per square metre, which does not carry the name.
The flip side is the same as in any exclusively residential zone: nothing is solved on foot. With no corner shops, no metro and no bakery on the block, the same law that preserves the quiet pushes everyday life onto the car and the avenues at the edges.

The surrounding area
- Clubs: Jockey Club de São Paulo, right there in Cidade Jardim, and the clubs of the Morumbi region and of Pinheiros.
- Schools: the traditional and international schools of the Morumbi–Butantã axis, a few minutes away by car.
- Dining and lifestyle: Shopping Cidade Jardim, across Avenida Cidade Jardim, concentrates the region’s luxury retail and fine dining.
- Parks: Parque Alfredo Volpi, in Jardim Guedala, and the green areas that run down towards Marginal Pinheiros.
- Transport: the neighbourhood has no station; the connection is made via Avenida Professor Francisco Morato, Avenida Cidade Jardim and Marginal Pinheiros, with Estação Cidade Jardim on the CPTM as the nearest reference point.
