Octávio de Siqueira

Who they are

Octávio de Siqueira Arquitetos Associados, or OSARQ, is a São Paulo practice that has worked in the property market for more than twenty-five years, based in Campo Belo. Its output is organised into four declared fronts: horizontal condominiums, mixed use, commercial and residential — ranging from social housing buildings to high-end residential, in São Paulo, Campinas and inland São Paulo state.

The practice defines itself less by a formal vocabulary and more by a method: a team that works through open exchange of references, a focus on product quality, agility and client care. It maintains its own research arm, OSARQLab, dedicated to design studies outside of commissioned work.

In the archive, it signs Vila Alba, in Alto da Boa Vista — a villa-style condominium of six blocks and only two storeys, on a plot of almost 4,400 m².

Language

  • Style: contemporary with a clean façade, oriented to the real-estate product; the design responds to the site and the development’s segment, not to a mannerism of the practice.
  • Materials and brand: the visual identity is the circle — a closed form, chosen to convey fidelity to principles. The practice describes itself as a team that adapts to the sector’s transformations, anticipating needs rather than repeating solutions.
  • Awards: (none found).

Landmark works

  • Vila Imperial and Landing Home, in São Paulo.

  • Halma 911 and Alameda dos Flamboyants, in Campinas.
