Marchi Arquitetura
A São Paulo practice geared to the property market — the kind whose name almost never appears on the façade, but whose signature organises entire high-end towers.
Who it is
Marchi Arquitetura is a São Paulo architecture practice, based on Avenida Brigadeiro Faria Lima, that develops residential, commercial, hospitality and social-housing projects. It defines itself as a reference in architectural design geared to the Brazilian property market, with a declared focus on innovative solutions for development.
Language and signature
- Style: high-end development architecture, resolved through the organisation of the programme and the relationship with the plot — on Casa Piauí Higienópolis, the contemporary language was deliberately kept free of stylistic quotation, so as to coexist with an 1918 mansion on the same plot without falling into pastiche.
- Scale of work: residential, commercial, hospitality and social housing.
Reference works
- Casa Piauí Higienópolis (Higienópolis), for Helbor and MPD: a 40-residence tower built around the restored mansion on Rua Piauí, with interiors by Fernanda Marques and landscaping by Benedito Abbud.
