Marco Pottier

The French curator behind the art of Cidade Matarazzo — the eye that curates spaces like galleries.

Who he is

Marc Pottier (also spelled Marco Pottier) is a French art curator who for more than a decade has shaped the collections of Rosewood São Paulo and the Cidade Matarazzo project, alongside Alexandre Allard. Recognised for his work with art in public spaces, he has brought together works by Indigenous and Afro-Brazilian artists and from street art and funk culture, celebrating Brazil’s cultural diversity. Note: he is an art curator, not an interior decorator/designer — filed here under the closest available type (Decorador) for signing the art curation/styling of developments.

Signature

  • Language: curation of plural contemporary Brazilian art; works integrated into the architecture.
  • Brand: art as experience and as the space’s narrative thesis.

Landmark works

  • The art collection of Rosewood and of Cidade Matarazzo.
  • Art curation for 280 Art Boulevard.
