Who he is

Jader Almeida (Videira/SC, 1981) is one of the most acclaimed Brazilian designers and architects in the world. He started at 16 in the Santa Catarina furniture industry, trained as an architect and, from 2004, leading Sollos, developed his own minimalist and timeless language, uniting industrial manufacturing with handmade finishing. Today he runs the grife JADERALMEIDA, with more than 1,200 authorial products, a presence in dozens of countries and more than a hundred awards.

Language

  • Style: rationality, simple geometry and pure forms, with thin, fluid lines and a timeless aesthetic.
  • Materials and signature: wood and steel with delicate finishing; “I don’t sell furniture, I sell a way of living.”
  • Awards: more than 120 awards (IF Design, IDEA, Designer of the Year at Casa Vogue Design 2019); iconic pieces such as the Euvira armchair and the Dinn table.
