Alphaville Urbanismo
The brand that industrialised the gated subdivision in Brazil: the developer that took the formula born in Alphaville to dozens of cities across the country, from inland São Paulo state to the Curitiba Metropolitan Region.
Who it is
Alphaville Urbanismo is the developer that carries the Alphaville brand beyond its São Paulo origin. The formula was born in the early 1970s with Albuquerque Takaoka — the duo of Renato de Albuquerque and Yojiro Takaoka — on the former Fazenda Tamboré, in Barueri, giving rise to founding residential developments such as Alphaville Residencial 1. Over the following decades, the urban-planning operation became independent and national, replicating the gated-subdivision model, complete with its own club, security and occupation code, in dozens of locations across Brazil.
Product vision
- Positioning: gated subdivisions ranging from mid to ultra-high-end, with their own club and infrastructure; the Brazilian model of the private planned neighbourhood.
- Differentiators: national scale and a standardised occupation code, with club versions anchored in golf and leisure in the highest-end locations.
Landmark works
- Alphaville Graciosa, in Pinhais/PR — a club condominium with an eighteen-hole golf course by Dan Blankenship, in the Curitiba Metropolitan Region.
- The founding São Paulo lineage, today managed by homeowners’ associations, includes Alphaville Residencial 1 and Alphaville Residencial 10 (originated by Albuquerque Takaoka).
